God, The Master Potter, is a major theme in my life and ministry. I learn a great deal about how God shapes our lives as I work the clay. Finding, preparing, shaping, firing and using the clay speaks to me as a part of what God does in our lives. God gave Jeremiah a lesson on nations, repentance and stubborn hearts at The Potter’s House in Jeremiah 18:1-12. We need to heed that message today or we too will face the consequences of willful disobedience. Seeing is believing. Watch as I form the clay into a “vessel of honor.” Sharing about our work at Community Hope Ministries in Namibia as I work the clay on the wheel presents a vibrant image of how God molds the lives of the disadvantaged children and orphans of Katutura.

“I have known John for over 40 years and am very familiar with his life and ministry. His message and, especially the way he brings it forth with such visual clarity, is one of the most effective communication tools I've ever seen. I recommend John as a teacher because of the manner in which he lives his life message.”

“John Hunter is both a master potter and a master communicator. His sermon graphically illustrates the truth of Jeremiah 18. While I was Pastor at Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church John did variations of this powerful sermon in several settings and was effective each time.”

John combines a teacher’s insight with an artist’s impact. His lectures are seasoned with humor and his object lessons are unforgettable. As he forms the clay, he also forms and informs his students, shapes their thinking and fills their lives with truth & beauty. I can highly recommend inviting him.
